Identity

Singed is the mad chemist of the top lane, a unique AP bruiser who thrives on chaos and macro-oriented gameplay. You should play Singed if you enjoy a disruptive, high-pressure playstyle that bends the traditional rules of laning. His signature Poison Trail allows him to farm waves and damage enemies simultaneously, often while proxying behind their turret to create immense map pressure. Singed excels in mid-to-late game team fights, where he becomes an unkillable, high-damage front-liner, zoning enemies and creating space for his carries. If you want to master a champion that rewards strategic thinking, map awareness, and a touch of madness, Singed is your champion.

Strengths & Weaknesses

Strengths

  • Unconventional Map Pressure: Singed's ability to proxy farm allows him to create constant pressure on the map, drawing multiple enemies to him and creating opportunities for his team elsewhere.

  • Late-Game Team Fight Dominance: A farmed Singed is a nightmare in team fights. He can run through the enemy team, spreading poison, flinging key targets, and zoning carries with his Mega Adhesive.

  • Excellent Scaling and Gold Funneling: Singed's unique playstyle allows him to safely scale into the late game, often accruing a significant gold and experience lead through proxy farming and efficient wave management.

Weaknesses

  • The early game is the hardest part for Singed.

  • Extended 1v1 dueling is difficult and not what he is built for. He usually has to commit significant resources (Ult, Ghost, Flash) to win a 1v1.

  • Vulnerable to ganks and collapse if proper vision and execution are not maintained.

Laning Phase

The general overarching goal in most laning phases is to push the wave without dying, then proxy behind the turret to scale up.

Team Fighting & Macro

Macro Strategy

  • Proxy Vision: When proxying behind the turret, always place a ward (Singed EE.g., in the river bush) to track the enemy jungler.

  • Jungle Camp Tracking: Try to get vision of the enemy jungle camps to track their timers. When camps respawn, you know the enemy jungler will likely be nearby.

  • Mirror Map: When proxying, always watch your Bot Lane's wave to see where the Top Lane creep wave is, as the map is mirrored.

  • Split Push Pressure: When you proxy a wave, you create priority for yourself, meaning the enemy top laner still has to deal with the wave while you are free to move to objectives like Grubs. You can run top, poison waves, and try to draw the enemy top laner (Singed EE.g., Aatrox) away while your team gets something on the map.

  • Teleport Utility: Teleport grants map control. A play involving a proxy, followed by a Recall/Buy/Teleport to an objective fight (where the enemy is overextended or low HP), can result in a 'huge Gold Spike'.

Team Fighting

  • Role: Singed is meant to go for mid to late game 5v5 team fights. His job in a Baron dance or team fight scenario should be a mix of tanking and zoning the enemy team with W and poison.

  • Ultimate Use: The ultimate (R) is very valuable as a cooldown and is needed for team fighting. You should pop your ultimate when you decide to fully commit to the fight.

Fling the enemy into your Mega Adhesive, which will ground them, preventing dashes or escapes. You can then continue poisoning and auto-attacking them.

Use Ghost or R to run the enemy down. Once in range, Fling the enemy back into your team or a dangerous area.

Tips & Tricks

Abilities

  • Singed QQ (Poison Trail): Poison needs to be actively damaging the enemy or have damaged them in the last two seconds to apply the Grievous Wounds debuff granted by the ultimate (R).

  • Singed EE (Fling): Fling has a pretty long cooldown (8 seconds base). Use it wisely, as losing access to it can cost fights.

  • Singed EE Target Selection: In a chaotic team fight, it may be better to Fling an easier-to-kill target (like Nautilus) instead of a high-healing target (like Aatrox) to secure a guaranteed kill.

  • Singed RR (UPGRADE!!!): Level 16 for Singed's ultimate is a massive power spike, granting 100 of each defensive stat (Armor, MR, Health Regen, Mana Regen), Ability Power, and Move Speed.
