Camille

Camille

Master Tier Champion Guide

Identity

Camille is a skirmishing diver who excels at long-range engage and scales into a powerful side-lane threat. You should play Camille if you enjoy a high-skill-cap champion who can survive a weak early game to become a late-game monster, capable of singling out and eliminating high-priority targets. Her kit is designed around precision and timing, using her Hookshot to create picks and her Q's true damage to slice through even the tankiest of foes. Mastering Camille requires patience to navigate her vulnerable laning phase and the mechanical skill to execute her combos and identify the perfect moment to engage and assassinate key enemies.

Strengths & Weaknesses

Strengths

  • Excellent long-range engage

  • One of the strongest scaling tops in the game

  • Excels at locking down a priority target

  • Effective at Baron damage

Weaknesses

  • Weak early game phase (Level 4 up to acquiring Triforce)

  • Reliant on surviving the early game to scale

  • Can be vulnerable to poke in lane

Laning Phase Strategy

Back Timers

  • Value back timers as your top priority. Hold TP to secure a back for a major item (Sheen, Triforce).

E Usage

  • Use E for trading only when you are aware of the enemy jungler's location, as E is your only escape tool.

Side Lane Freeze

  • Against heavy all-in threats (Riven, Gwen), allow the wave to push to your side, using the proximity of your tower wall for safe E usage and quick disengagement.

Trading

  • Always prioritize short, in-and-out trades (100-to-zero trading) using your passive and Grasp. Do not allow the trade to become extended unless running Conqueror.

Wave Control

  • Camille has terrible wave clear. The best strategy is to slow push to build a large wave stack, then hard push the final wave to secure a tower crash and guarantee a safe base timing.

Mid-Game and Teamfighting Macro

Mid-Game Macro (Shove and Fog)

The mid-game is where Camille begins to exert significant map control.

Pin the Enemy

Aggressively shove the side lane wave (Bot or Top, usually opposite the major objective) to force an enemy champion to respond and "pin" them to the lane.

Non-Committal Deploy (Fog)

Once the enemy is pinned, rotate through the jungle (non-committal deploy) to threaten the mid lane or objectives, creating a numerical advantage (5v4).

Flexibility

Camille must balance being a selfish side lane player (gaining gold/XP/towers) with proactively looking for picks on the map.

Objective Trading

Do not hesitate to trade an early neutral objective (Herald, Dragon) for a high-value tower plate if your Triforce damage allows it.

Teamfighting Execution

Weaving

Camille is a fighter, not a tank. She must weave in and out of the fight, maximizing Q2 true damage and using her E mobility for quick repositioning and disengagement.

Primary Focus

Hold E and R. Wait for the enemy's major cooldowns (CC, high-damage spells) or a positioning mistake before committing.

Engage Role

Camille is usually follow-up engage. She can flank and dive the backline, but this requires teammates who can follow up quickly, or strong defensive items.

Flank Markers

Camille is excellent at marking enemy flankers (Camille EE.g., LeBlanc, Katarina, or Talon) with her ultimate, denying their ability to escape or execute their damage.

Tips & Tricks

Abilities

QQ
  • Both hits are Auto attack resets. Q can be buffered through enemy CC (Camille EE.g., Jax E or Renekton stun) to apply the damage and shield. Always look to pre-stack Q on minions, jungle camps, or even Blast Cones before engaging a fight. Q can be used to cancel W or E animations.

EE
  • Camille EE is Camille's only escape tool; be highly aware of the enemy jungler's location before using it aggressively. E can be buffered through CC (timing E just before a stun/knockback hits, to pull Camille to safety).

WW
  • Aim for the outer ring, as the inner ring damage is ineffective. W can be used to block a tower shot when poking under the structure.

RR
  • Camille RR can be buffered through any CC (stuns, knockups, etc.); Camille will still cast her ultimate and avoid the CC at the end of the animation. R reveals stealth and cancels channeled abilities (Camille EE.g., Katarina R, Shen R). When landing R, the resulting distance from the enemy is perfect for guaranteeing a Q1 outer ring hit.
