Yone Win Condition
The goal is to minimize and only be opportunistic. You can win if you manage to land two or three extended trades using Lethal Tempo and a good 
E. The specific mindset is to survive the lane, as she is harder to execute in team fights than Yone.
Irelia Win Condition
They win if they can force extended trades while they have their stacks or if they can commit easily. If you fall behind, say goodbye to your game.
General Strategy
You must play towards your strengths (opportunistic trades) and away from theirs. Take a few creeps but preserve HP, playing the lane very safely. Exhaust is highly recommended to survive her brutal post-six all-in.
The main outplay mechanic is to dodge her
E (Flawless Duet) with yourE (Spectral Falle). Dodging her E prevents her from getting free 
Q resets, making your trade significantly better.
Trading Patterns
To be safe, you want the wave on your side. Only go for extended trades if you can quickly stack Lethal Tempo and secure a good E. Avoid extended trades against Irelia once she has her stacks up.
Wave Management
The standard approach is to let the wave slowly come into you ("wave effect"). You should keep the wave on your side to maximize safety. Although risky, you can try to push hard Level 1 and 2 because you are stronger then, but this puts you in a vulnerable position for ganks.
