Your Win Condition

You are favored level one through five and level nine onwards. The goal is to win the trade by playing around his shield.

General Strategy

Volibear likes to bait out his Q (Thundering Smash). Volibear's ultimate makes him Unstoppable when airborne.

Trading Patterns

When Volibear runs at you with Q, use E purely reactionarily as the stun is coming down to buffer it. This resets his Q cooldown completely. Do not fight him when his shield (E) is up. Use Q, E, W, and walk backwards for short trades. His W cooldown is 5 to 6 seconds; this is your trading window. You must Ult his Q and dodge his E. Volibear R can also be used to block your E flip.

Wave Management

Their Win Condition

Volibear wins by baiting your E with his Q. He wins by stacking the minion wave for a level advantage. His W (Frenzied Maul) is problematic.
