Your Win Condition

Win the animation war by interrupting his Q. You should be trying to kill him with auto attacks instead of R2.

General Strategy

Your E can interrupt his Q (Decimating Smash), but his Q can also interrupt your E; this is a completely reactionary animation war.

Trading Patterns

If you win the animation war against his Q, you put his Q on a shorter cooldown. Sion's R (Unstoppable Onslaught) is Unstoppable for its entire duration. Be careful with your R2. Sion R is bufferable: press E just before his R clashes with you, and you'll grab him through the animation, ignoring the stun.
