Interrupt her Q with your E. You want to start fights when she doesn't have four passive stacks up.

General Strategy

This is one of the most skill-based matchups. Levels one through five are completely equal; six onwards, you are favored, but she can still kill you. Rush a full AD build (Black Cleaver, Prowler's, Sterak's, Guardian Angel) to kill her before she has a chance to play the game.

Trading Patterns

You can interrupt her Q dash to a minion with your E. If you E Irelia before she reaches the minion, you remove her Q stacks and secure a 100-to-zero trade. If Irelia gets four passive stacks, do not fight her.

Wave Management

Their Win Condition

Irelia wins if she successfully gets four passive stacks. If you mess up the E timing and she dashes through it, she will heal back to 100% HP.
