Gnar is favored the entire lane, one through eighteen, because he is a kite-heavy champion. Run Doran's Shield and Second Wind to help survive the lane.

Trading Patterns

Gnar's boomerang (Q) has a slow and can hit you on the way back for double damage, so be mindful of the return arc. Gnar's dash (E) can be used to dodge your E or R. When he turns into Mega Gnar, if he jumps in and ults you, you can buffer your ultimate and grab him during his R. If Gnar gets into the Mega form, he requires good positioning and rage bar management, which you can exploit.
