Winning a lead (CS or kill) pre-six. Winning trades by accepting 
Q poke but immediately trading back harder with 
E. Roaming heavily post-six.
Malphite Win Condition
Poking you out with 
Q (Seismic Shard) spam, denying your shield passive, and landing 
R (Unstoppable Force) for a one-shot or gank setup.
General Strategy
Malphite is often considered Quinn's hardest or best ban. Run Fleet Footwork for sustain against his poke. Level 1-5 is your window.
Build Wits End rush for MR and magic damage (to go through his armor stacking). Try to hit him every 10 seconds to stop his passive shield. Post-six, do not be low health near him.
Trading Patterns
When he Qs, E him to dodge the comet and auto trade. Only go near hisQ range when your E or Q is up. Every time he Qs you, accept the damage but respond immediately with E + all autos to make the trade favorable for you. Post-six, if he ults, flash the 
R if you can anticipate it.
Wave Management
Use the Cheater Recall setup (slow push first two waves, crash third) to gain an item advantage, then force a freeze near your tower to deny him farm. Malphite has terrible wave clear, so you can break his freezes by flying top and hard-shoving (using Fleet to heal up the Q poke).
