General Strategy
Run Press the Attack for high damage. Save yourE for hisQ. You can use your
Q to blind him, preventing him from casting hisR (Demacian Justice) on you.
Garen is a speed matchup; if you have more speed (E. g. , Tier 2 boots or BoRK), he becomes useless.
Trading Patterns
When he charges Q, let him run close to you (to maximize yourE pushback), then E him to cancel hisQ damage and silence. After canceling his Q, punish him aggressively until his Q (8-second cooldown) is back up. Throw auto attacks or use abilities to hit Garen every few seconds to put his passive regeneration on cooldown.
Wave Management
Against a passive Garen who hides under tower, perform a slow push, crash the wave, and then immediately force a wave freeze near your tower. This denies him all CS and XP, making him unable to play the game.
