Once you have completed both Liandry's Anguish and Blood Letters Curse, you gain the necessary fighting tools to contest and win almost every 1v1 scenario, transitioning the matchup from unfavorable to manageable.
KSante Win Condition
K'Sante aims to win by slowly chipping away at Mordekaiser's health through persistent, repeatable short trades (
Q into auto, Q into auto) throughout the laning phase. Crucially, his success relies on consistently using his defensive abilities (
W and Ultimate) to negate or cancel Mordekaiser’s ultimate, rendering Mordekaiser’s primary all-in tool ineffective until K'Sante has cycled through his defensive cooldowns. If he purchases an item like "Kanic Rrooker," his ability to regenerate a shield further enhances his annoying short-trade pattern.
General Strategy
The general strategy is defensive and focused on itemization against the opponent’s primary damage source. Start by prioritizing Plated Steelcaps for damage reduction against his physical short trades. Following boots, prioritize your core items: Liandry's Anguish or Blood Letters Curse.
If K'Sante is using the Aftershock rune, you should always rush Blood Letters Curse first. These two items, in combination, are vital for overcoming him. Additionally, if he acquires items that grant regenerating shields, make sure to continuously damage him with 
Q to prevent that shield from coming back up, thereby reducing the effectiveness of his short trades.
Trading Patterns
K'Sante will spend the entire laning phase engaging in predictable, annoying short trades, utilizing hisQ followed by an auto-attack. For Mordekaiser, direct engagements are heavily restricted by K'Sante's defensive timing. You cannot reliably use your ultimate until K'Sante has already exhausted a lengthy sequence of abilities.
This sequence involves waiting for his first 
W, waiting for his ultimate (which refreshes hisW cooldown), and then waiting for his second W to expire. If he wastes his W outside of his ultimate range, you might be able to use your
R, but this is rare in practice. Once you have secured your two core items (Liandry's and Blood Letters), you finally possess a strong fighting chance to consistently challenge him in 1v1 situations.
