Mordekaiser Win Condition

Mordekaiser gains a huge 1v1 advantage by using his ultimate (Realm of Death) to completely remove Irelia'sE (Stun/Mark) if she casts it before he uses his ultimate. Morde's most crucial power spike is Rylai's Crystal Scepter, which, combined with the Approach Velocity rune/speed, makes it "essentially impossible for Irelia to escape".

Irelia Win Condition

Irelia wins if she can freely stack her passive at Level 1. Her most dangerous spike is the acquisition of Blade of the Ruin King (BoRK), as her damage becomes "absolutely disgusting" at that point.

General Strategy

Morde should play the lane slowly until he acquires Bramble Vest. He must try to kill her or gain a "big advantage" before she reaches her BoRK spike. However, Morde can still take fights even after she gets BoRK, provided he has the correct items, specifically his ultimate up, Bramble Vest, and Rylai's.

Trading Patterns

At Level 1, Morde must actively deny her passive stacks. Morde should run Lethal Tempo to enable frequent auto attacks, forcing Irelia to use herQ charges against him. Critically, Morde must ensure every one of Irelia's Q charges is down before he uses his Q, or she will simply dash through him and dodge it. If Irelia casts herE, Morde should use his ultimate immediately, causing the E to "completely disappear," preventing her from stunning or marking him.
