Leblanc Win Condition
Your victory is dependent on out-scaling and roaming, as breaking through Cho'Gath in lane is extremely difficult due to his sustain and tankiness. You must transition your lead early through skirmishes and objectives because you "don't scale too well" in games against these types of champions.
Chogath Win Condition
Cho'Gath wins by simply tanking your damage with his sustain (Doran's Shield and passive regeneration). He aims to prevent you from finding kill pressure, forcing the lane into a stalemate where your poke is not "really sticking onto him".
General Strategy
Because he is so tanky, you should opt for First Strike instead of Electrocute to "stack a bit of money". Focus on stacking your Dark Seal as much as possible, as the enemies are tanky, and you need the AP to break through. You must use your
Q and auto attacks to poke him down slowly. Rush Ludens for a "really big spike" that helps you with trading and wave clear.
Trading Patterns
Your trading needs to be constant but cautious. You should auto attack him a lot and try to get control. Trading is often done via
Q poke.
You must use your
W (Distortion) to reactively dodge his
Q (Rupture). If Cho'Gath uses his
R on you, you must avoid it. If he is being very aggressive, you should jump on the creeps instead of hitting him directly with
Q to bait out his ultimate and waste his cooldown.
Wave Management
You must look to slow push the wave, building up a CS advantage. You should aim to combine pushing with trading. You want to push waves aggressively to maximize your gold and reset cleanly, using your Lost Chapter to address the lack of Manaflow Band.
