General Strategy
3Q>E Play around bushes so he can’t constantly q poke you. Go Dshield and Second wind, rush cull and boots asap. Never get hit by his passive autos. You will get shredded. In order to win the barrel mind game, switch between auto reseting the barrels, eing the barrels from max range, and pretending to do either one of those but canceling the auto and running so he pops it early. Try to be unpredictable with your movements in general so he can’t land his barrels. Be careful of the one part, two part, and triple barrel combos he can do if he is good. Be careful of him hiding barrels in bushes.
Trading Patterns
Focus his barrels. Gangplank does zero damage without landing barrels on you. Look to kill him when you get first item. Always respect his barrel damage. Gangplank scales very well and still have the damage to kill you if you don't ult his barrels late game.
Wave Management
The wave position does not really matter. Track enemy jungle and try to keep wave near turret when they are topside.
Their Win Condition
Gangplank wants to hit his sheen spikes and start dominating the lane. His poke will really start hurting once he has sheen. He should get essence reaver faster than you and will really look to solo kill you then.
