General Strategy

Ghost counters every single ability Volibear has. Volibear wins if he lands E (massive AP damage + shield). Volibear uses Q to stun, then calls E. Use a max-range E pull when he approaches; this covers distance and forces him to disengage. If he Q's, use Ghost to run back, dodge E, and then re-engage. Stridebreaker helps kite Q.

Trading Patterns

If you dodge one ability (Q or E), you create a crack to go in and kill him. His Q stun acts as a leap, which a good Volibear can use to dodge your Q.
