General Strategy

Darius is considered one of Olaf's biggest counters. Pre-six, you win 1v1 unless you 'sit in his face'. Use slows (W) and Ghost to ensure you are only in melee range when you are attacking. Post-six, Olaf's R lasts 2.5 seconds after he last damages you. If he throws Q, run in a direction equidistant from him and the axe location; this forces him to choose between chasing you (and losing R time) or retrieving the axe.

Trading Patterns

If you dodge his Q, the fight immediately turns in your favor, as Q is his only slow. Olaf outside of R is a 'pathetic champion' and can be CC'd and executed.
