Camille Win Condition

Your main goal is to scale and be patient. Camille easily wins the 1v1 against Gnar later in the game. If Gnar makes a mistake, you should capitalize and kill him. Since Gnar is not considered strong in solo queue and is difficult to play, scaling ensures Camille will become the dominant champion on the side lane.

Gnar Win Condition

Gnar wins by transforming into Mega Gnar during a crucial engagement, allowing him to use his abilities to smash Camille into a wall, which is often fatal. Gnar also performs better in team fights, making your ability to force side lane conflict vital.

General Strategy

You are generally advised to take the Conqueror route and prioritize scaling. You should invest three points into yourCamille EE early, giving it a much smaller cooldown for trading and mobility. The entire lane centers around playing patiently and monitoring Gnar's rage bar.

You must not engage aggressively onto Gnar. You can only engage safely if Gnar is either close to transforming into Mega Gnar (low rage) or if he has just transformed back into Mini Gnar (on cooldown). When he is in Mini form and his transformation is on cooldown, you can easily 100-to-zero him.

Trading Patterns

Use yourCamille WW constantly: every time Gnar Qs, autos, or approaches minions, you should W him to heal and poke. When you use yourCamille EE (Hookshot), you should follow up with W and then immediately disengage. If he transforms into Mega Gnar during a fight, you should avoid the situation. You need to utilize your Hookshot to bait his jump or other abilities, allowing you to disengage cleanly.

Wave Management

You are advised to "take the bullet" and let him push into you in the early levels. This allows you to stack the wave and recall cleanly. If you opt for the Press the Attack (PTA) rune page, you can rush Tiamat and permanently shove the wave. If you are scaling and farming back into the game, you must always prioritize clearing the minion wave first, and then the jungle camp.
