Pantheon must leverage his strong early-game base damage and poke. HisE (Aegis Assault) is paramount for blocking Akali's incoming burst damage. He should utilize hisW (Stun) to lock Akali down during his burst windows.
General Strategy
This matchup is considered relatively difficult in the early game because Pantheon'sE minimizes Akali's damage. Akali should start Doran's Shield and take Second Wind to manage Pantheon's strong poke. Electrocute is preferred over Conqueror, as Akali aims for short, immediate burst trades rather than extended fights, which Pantheon typically wins.
Akali must concede some early CS to avoid taking excessive damage. Litch Bane is an effective first item choice in this melee matchup. Once Akali gains a lead, she should play extremely aggressively, testing Pantheon's limits.
