Akali Win Condition

Akali's win condition starts by successfully surviving Lux's heavy early poke and controlling the lane until Akali reaches Level 6. Once Level 6 is achieved, Akali must aim for quick, high-burst combos to take Lux down, leveraging the fact that Lux is immobile when Akali gets close. Successfully dodging Lux'sLux QQ (Light Binding/Root) is the number one priority.

Lux Win Condition

Lux's success depends on constantly poking Akali using Lux EE (Lucent Singularity) and zoning her. She must successfully land herLux QQ (Shackle) to guarantee a full combo follow-up (E and Lux RR). Lux also relies on herLux WW (Prismatic Barrier/Shield) to negate Akali's burst damage, particularly minimizing the impact of Ignite.

General Strategy

This is generally a medium-difficulty matchup. Starting Doran's Shield and taking Second Wind is highly recommended to manage the initial poke. Akali should utilize Electrocute and Ignite for maximizing pressure and burst in the early game.

The game essentially opens up for Akali after Level 6, when she gains the tools necessary to reliably run Lux down. Storm Search should be prioritized as the first item for its powerful burst. Early T2 Boots can be crucial for enhancing Akali's movement speed, thereby improving her ability to dodge Lux'sLux QQ and Akali EE.

Trading Patterns

Akali should look to engage when Lux'sLux QQ or Akali EE is on cooldown. Quick trades using the Akali QQ passive Auto Q combo are effective with Electrocute. Akali must be mindful of Lux'sLux WW, as it can absorb substantial burst damage, potentially canceling out an Ignite kill. Post-Level 6, provided the Q is dodged, Akali's full combo should often result in a one-shot kill.

Wave Management

The wave should be managed to remain close to Akali's tower. This setup provides Akali with the longest possible path to chase Lux down after engagement. Akali should attempt to force Lux to use her abilities on the minion wave (Akali EE.

g. , clearing the wave), which prevents Lux from using those same abilities to poke Akali. Cannon waves are ideal times to reset to minimize CS loss without TP.
